About Alison

I am an experienced and professional Massage Therapist who specialises in Deep Tissue and Sports Massage. I also offer Kahuna ( Lomi Lomi ) and Holistic ( Swedish ) Massage.
My style has been described as dynamic as I incorporate a variety of techniques that stretch, strengthen or break down fibrous adhesions to relieve specific complaints of pain and dysfunction.
I tune into what my client’s body needs that day and when treating a client I feel it is very important that they feel comfortable to communicate what they want from the session as this is their time. For example the client may need a meditative deeply relaxing massage wishing for silence throughout or during a Deep Tissue or Sports Massage it is important to get feedback throughout and I try to create a comfortable environment so that the client will get the most out of the treatment.
I have a diploma in Sports and Holistic Massage and certificates in Advanced Massage Techniques, Muscle Energy Technique and Soft Tissue Release and Functional Musculoskeletal Anatomy and Palpation skills and Kahuna(Lomilomi).
I am a member of The Complementary Therapists Association.
I have been practicing since 2004 and have been running a clinic at the Central YMCA Club since 2006. I am curently at Dru Yoga centre and vegetarian cafe called Greens and Beans, 2 minutes walk from Euston and also Drake's Gym, 5 minutes from the Barbican.
I have worked with Origins as a Massage Therapist at the Innocent Village Fete's in Regents Park and with Standard Chartered as a Massage Therapist in their Well-Being tent at the City Race.
I have also worked with the charity The Healing Tent in 2004 as a volunteer Massage Therapist in the Central London Charity run to raise money for research into Motor Neuron Disease.
